What to expect?

Here’s what it looks like if you decide to reach out

What Working Together Looks Like

Step 1: Schedule a Free 15-Minute Consultation

Reach out through my contact form or email to schedule a free phone or video consultation. This no-pressure conversation gives us a chance to connect, explore what you’re looking for, and determine if it feels like a good fit.

Step 2: Get Oriented

If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you a secure intake packet with forms to complete before our first session. This includes background information, consent forms, and any initial goals you'd like to share.

Step 3: Begin Therapy

In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on building a safe, supportive relationship and exploring what brought you to therapy. We’ll clarify your goals and begin identifying what healing and progress might look like for you.

Step 4: Do the Work—Together

As therapy continues, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Using approaches like EMDR, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness, we’ll work to address burnout, trauma, emotional exhaustion, or whatever is most present for you. Along the way, we’ll regularly check in to adjust your goals and celebrate progress.

Step 5: Sustain Growth & Transition as Needed

Therapy doesn’t last forever. As you begin to feel more grounded, clear, and empowered, we’ll talk about transitioning to less frequent sessions or ending therapy when you feel ready—with tools in place to support you beyond our work together.

FAQs

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, at this time I offer telehealth sessions only to client’s currently living in either Utah or North Carolina. All sessions are conducted via a secure HIPPA-compliant video platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own or any private space.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, scheduled at the same day and time each week. This consistency helps build momentum and a sense of stability in the therapeutic process.

Can I have a flexible schedule instead of the same time each week?

Yes! While many clients prefer a recurring time slot, I also offer flexible scheduling. If your schedule changes from week to week, we can coordinate each session time at the end of your appointment or through email/text in between sessions.

Cancellation Policy

To respect both your time and mine, I ask that clients provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice—or missed appointments—will be charged the full session fee. Emergencies happen, and I will do my best to be flexible when possible.

HIPPA & Privacy Statement

Your privacy is important to me. As a licensed mental health provider, I follow all guidelines outlined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This means that any information you share in therapy—including session notes, personal details, and communications—is kept confidential and secure.

There are a few legally mandated exceptions to confidentiality, such as situations involving risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse, or a court order. These will be reviewed in detail during the intake process so you fully understand your rights and protections.

All electronic communications, documentation, and telehealth sessions are conducted using HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your information stays private and secure.
